Item Description
4.5" pencil autograph reads "Jimmy Braddock." Clipped signature is attached to 4.25x6" notebook page. Braddock one the world heavyweight championship over Max Baer in a 15-round decision on June 13, 1935. A fight against former champion Max Schmeling was scheduled for Sept. 30, 1936 but was cancelled due to a hand injury suffered by Braddock who had already planned a future bout against Joe Louis. On June 22, 1937 Joe Louis knocked out Braddock in the 8th round to become World Heavyweight Champion. Lt. pencil smudge, o/w Fine. Comes with Hake's COA.
