Item Description
Lot of 12. Sizes range from 3x5" to 8.5x11.5". Various fliers, fold-overs, pamphlets. Many of the small pamphlets promote specific railroad exhibits at the Travel and Transportation Building. The Wings program is from an elaborate show at the Fair which featured historic pageantry using actual early locomotives. Companies include Burlington Zephyr, Rock Island, B&O, Milwaukee-St. Paul and Pacific, Union Pacific, Pullman, Illinois Central. "The Royal Scot" British railway is an elaborate fold-out promoting the train engine's visit to the Fair. "Chicago & North Western RY" refers to itself as "Zeppelins Of The Rails" with a Zeppelin pictured above and behind the locomotive. One fold-over promoting downtown Chicago shopping pictures various modes of transportation. Last is 8.5x11.5" "Wings Of A Century/The Romance Of Transportation." 16 pages with numerous illustrations/text of the history of various modes of transportation. All show lt. wear, fine to VF.
