Item Description
13-7/8x21-7/8" stiff paper window card for a dance held at the "Famous Cafeteria In Sheffield Alabama On April 25, 1958." This information is imprinted on marquee area at top. Poster was printed by Murray Poster Printing Co. Main poster image promotes "The Boss Of The Blues" Joe Turner who would be performing at dance as well as several of his song titles "World Of Trouble," "Love Roller-Coaster," "Shake, Rattle & Roll." Choker Campbell and his orchestra received bi-line with nice image of Campbell holding saxophone. Poster has some scattered tanning, a .5" wide faint strip of moisture staining at middle right margin and a .25" chip in upper right-hand corner due to posting. Bottom left-hand corner has a 1x1.25" moisture stain and bottom right-hand corner has some dust soiling. VG. Rare.
