Item Description
1.25" which is a mate to the Parker #242 in this auction. Celluloid has very slightest trace of a dent on the rim at 11 o'clock but hardly perceptible either to the touch or the eye. Just noticeable to the most trifle extent in reflected light. Complete with a most unusual backpaper which combines a union bug at the bottom reading "Newark" while below this is partial text for a W&H button patent. However, the upper 80% of the backpaper is dedicated to large bold type reading "St. Louis Button Co./(in smaller type) St. Louis, U.S.A." The only backpaper we've ever seen combining the names of these two pioneering button makers. Celluloid is totally bright and clean.
