Item Description
1.75x2.5x7" tall box. c. 1930s. Box labeled "Gentlemen Ventriloquist." Made in Japan. Repeat image of Charlie walking on front and back. Charlie portrait appears on sides and top/bottom. Top flap torn/pieces missing. Noticeable handling wear/moisture. Box Fair. 7" tall celluloid toy marked "Japan" on shoulder back. Nicely detailed base and body with cane in one hand. Blue buttons on jacket. Works well. Mouth opens and closes as he moves about. Comes with key. A bright, clean example. Exc. From the Carl Lobel Collection.
