Item Description
All c. 1930s/40s. First is 2.5x3.25x5.25" tall box. Text on box front reads "Edgar Bergen's Little Friend Charlie McCarthy." Window missing. Photos of Charlie appear on sides and back. Back panel graphic surrounding Charlie photo is in the shape of a microphone. Top reads "Station S.O.A.P." Text below "Hello Folks/Here I Am In Soap." Lt. handling creases/aged. Box Fine. Original insert. Holds 4" tall painted figural soap with ribbon around neck. Paint flakes. Soap split, but retains original shape. Soap VG. Second is approximately 10" tall cardboard/crepe paper Charlie decoration. Holed at top for hanging. Made in Japan. Moisture mark. Aged. Displays Fine. Third are two 1.25" molded plastic pins. Each nicely detailed. Glossy. Exc. Last is 3.5x4.5" store card that once held "Mortimer Snerd Teeth" in cellophane wrapper. Pieces of wrapper remain on card. Inked price notation in center. Lightly printed images of Snerd. Random staple holes/wear. Card VG. 1-7/8" wide by 1.25" tall plastic teeth. Inside gum line reads "Mortimer Snerd." Teeth remain glossy. Exc. An interesting grouping.
