3x3.25x4.5" tall box. ©1938. Repeat illustrations of Charlie on front/back/top. Sides read "Edgar Bergen Says: Fits Over Your Hand Like A Glove. Only These 3 Fingers Move The Head And Arms." Repeated on both sides. Bottom with illustration of smiling audience and Charlie in foreground with text "You've Heard Him On The Air/Seen Him In The Movies/Now Have Him In Your Home." Box is totally reinforced inside. Aged. Box displays Fine. 11" tall overall hand puppet with full color composition head and b/w cloth body designed like tuxedo. Copyright text on front at bottom. Also on back of composition head. Wire monacle with string. Surface cracks behind ears, not visible from front for display. Trace of aging to hat. Overall puppet VF. From the Carl Lobel Collection.
