15" tall. Made by Effanbee. c. 1930s-40s. Nicely detailed composition head with movable jaw. Tiny crack at corner of mouth. Metal monacle with original string. String at back of head to move mouth. Composition shoes and hands. Has well-made fabric cap, shirt, double-breasted jacket and pants. Jacket has 2 pockets. Doll is Exc. Attached to jacket collar is 1" celluloid button reading "Eggar Bergen's Charlie McCarthy/An Effanbee Play Product." Original W&H backpaper. Button is N. Mint.
