Auction #197 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 991 in auction 197
Item Description
This 7/8" is among the rarest and best Al Smiths. There is a red slogan and star version as well as the blue slogan and star version we are offering. Reverse has virtual hairline 5/16" cello split by the collet but cello is laying extremely tight and the split hardly shows. This is the only example of the couple we've seen that we can recall having a backpaper from the Newark firm "The Short & Roehm Co." The front has hardly any surface wear, even under magnification and displays Mint.
