Item Description
First is a 2" real photo button showing young man seated in a wooden crate with black stockinged legs and high top shoes extending through the slats. His hands are grasping a thick rope. He is blindfolded and wears a Shrine hat. Off to the side is the caption "Hang On To The Rope." This and to some extent the following button, are representations of the same scene, minus the camel, portrayed on item #473. Reverse has Bastian paper used only 1905-1907. The second button in this group is 1.75" showing a young child seated on a trunk and holding rope as he wears a Shrine fez. Rwb narrow outer rim edge is faded but rest is clean with text reading "Grand Rapids Michigan Saladin Temple." No backpaper if it had one. Both of these are from Collectible Pin-Back Buttons Organization section #72-73. The first is Exc. and displays Mint. The second is clean except for the rim fade, but does have two .75" horizontal scratches that catch reflected light. Only examples we've seen of either. Comes with Hake's COA.
