Item Description
5.25x7.25" Vol. 1, No. 6. Apr., 1934. 16 pages. Issued by various dairies, this has imprint of "Monroe City Dairy." "Baseball Issue" with great cover featuring Mickey Mouse at bat as Minnie cheers him on saying "Mickey's Getting Batter And Batter!" Pluto is seen as are the Three Pigs, Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow. Four-page article "I Make A Hit With The Giants" by Mickey Mouse showing Mickey with New York Giants baseball players Bill Terry and Carl Hubbell, both being pictured in bw photos drinking milk. Cover and first page have .5" tear and cover has very faint .75x1.25" moisture stain by title at left. Trace of staple oxidation at top staple. 1.5" spine split at bottom. Still a very clean copy with just a slight trace of aging. VG overall.
