Item Description
This is a size 9 non-adjustable ring marked on its inner surface "10k." Top has accents of rope knots on each side of top center oval which in turn is centered by high relief, spread-winged eagle against bkg. of vertical rwb enamel stripes. Slight wear from normal use under magnification but piece displays essentially Mint. With this comes 5.5x8.5" sheet with letterhead of "Buffalo Council/Boy Scouts of America." The hand-written notice is dated "November 13, 1942." Letter is signed by representative of "B.S.A." and otherwise reads in full "Dear Mr. Lucca, The Eagle Ring You Ordered Has Arrived. The Cost Due On This Is Ten Dollars And Seventy-Three Cents. ($10.73). This Has The Tax Included. It Will Be Available At Any Time." The sheet has horizontal and vertical light fold creases and a little dust soil on the blank reverse but overall condition remains clean and Fine. The ring is part of the Lucca Collection featured in this auction and comes with Hake's COA. This ring was ordered by the son of the man whose items are featured throughout our political section and a few other categories. The first Eagle Scout ring we've ever been able to offer.
