6x9x1.5" deep box contains toy which stands 8" tall. Japan, 1930s. Distributed by Borgfeldt. Box includes image of the toy on lid, 2 side panels depict Mickey and Minnie holding hands with an owl in the bkg. while 2 other sides depict Mickey playing a piano upon which Minnie sits. Moderate box wear/aging mostly along edges with some faint creases and surface paper rubs. 1" tear on one side panel but corners remain tight. Toy consists of wire metal frame with built-in key and attached is a 5" tall celluloid figure of Mickey. Works. Small bit of black color missing from one ear, front of pants has shallow indent. One leg has a tiny crack where it connects to metal rod but stays in place for display and during operation. Still displays VF. Scarce with box.
