18x22.5" illustration board has large and impressive bw illustration in India Ink by "King Kong" poster artist Glen Cravath featuring rifle-carrying man who wears pith helmet and is surrounded by a multitude of animals including chimpanzee, elephant, python, tiger, crocodile as well as a large bat among others. Art has obvious Frank Buck connotations but has 6.5x6.5" paste-over man's face showing art has been changed to reveal a more rugged-looking individual. This indicates that perhaps Buck was attached to this project but then later backed out. In addition to this paste-over, "Zoos In The Raw" Glen Cravath name are paste-overs with 3.5x3-7/8" paste-over reading "This Is Everybody's Book - Thrilling Pictures, Rare Animals, Birds And Reptiles - Jungle Map/Cut-outs." Another paste-over reads "Profusely Illustrated By The Author - Also Contains A Jungle Map - Cut-outs And A Coloring Test." Vertical crease at center. Light handling wear. VG. Art displays Fine. Also comes with separate 3.75x4.25" paste-over which reads "This Is Everybody's Show! Mothers, Fathers, Lovers, Kids And All Will Want To See It...Tell Them About Frank Buck's Bring 'Em Back Jungleshow." This also lends credence to the Buck connection. Obvious aging and staining from glue. VG. Great content.
