Item Description
5x6.5" front cover paper and rear panel paper joined by paper bellows that opens in accordion style to 25" in length. Bellows are interspersed by 4 die-cut open center paper partitions depicting various view segments of fountains, lagoon, trees, etc. finalized by rear panel featuring image of Trylon and Perisphere plus surrounding landscape. When extended and viewed through 7/8" dia. viewing hole in front cover, a very effective and scenic 3-D depth image is produced from foreground to distant bkg. Inscription around view hole is "The World Of Tomorrow - New York World's Fair." Design is ©Elizabeth Sage Hare and Warren Chappell. Front art commemorates George Washington 150th anniversary of his inauguration with dates 1789-1939. A classic NYWF paper item. A few scattered tiny spots on front cover o/w Exc. Wonderful design.
