Item Description
Large 10.75x15.75" Saalfield book #2436 ©1943. Great front cover art which includes Annie w/scissors, holding Daddy Warbucks paperdoll. Back cover has 6 punch-out paperdolls of Annie, Warbucks, Punjab, Kate, Peg and Loretta. Book contains 8 pages of very nicely designed colorful outfits and accessories for dolls. Pages also feature small wartime theme bw illustrations and text around cut-out outfits which include Annie in doughboy helmet, full figure image of her telling boy playing football to keep the noise down due to a war worker sleeping, war worker portraits, text includes "They Sell War Bonds, They Buy War Stamps, They Keep Secrets," etc. Bottom margin of each page also has different text referring to Orphan Annie and Junior Commandos including first page noting cut-out Junior Commando armbands for dolls. Unused and Exc. Cover has handling wear w/pinch creases. Cover remains bright and vibrant with glossy appearance. Fine with VF/Exc. contents. Exceptional paperdoll book.
