3x3x7.5" tall glazed ceramic w/fine detail of eye patch, beard, earring, headband, teeth, mustache, uniform w/raised letters reading "Pirates," ball and glove in player's hand. Reddish-beige color added under glaze to face, beard, arms and glove. Black hair. Over glaze colors have not been added. Many variations of paint exist w/additional detail to name on uniform, eye patch, headband, earrings, belt, etc. c. late 1940s-early 1950s. High gloss w/great detail and accents. Two pinpoints of paint loss at vertical coin slot in back top of head. Exc.
