Item Description
27x35" limited edition full color print featuring art by famous Golden Age Batman artist, Dick Sprang. Impressive and w/amazing details, Sprang provides a detailed map of Batman's base of operations, the Batcave. Batman, Robin and Alfred are pictured in lower right corner overlooking cave. Cave includes various computer areas, 2 Batmobiles, Batplane, Batcopter, Batman's Whirly-Bat, Batboat, Batosphere and Batsub. Also included are trophy statues of villains The Joker, The Riddler, Catwoman and The Penguin. Displays on walls include Batarangs and portraits of Commissioner Gordon and Barbara Gordon. Batcave icons - giant penny and dinosaur model are also included. Of interesting note, Sprang has plaque noting "Bill Finger Memorial Library." Finger is often forgotten for his role in Batman's history - credited with co-creating Batman with Bob Kane and Batman's archnemesis The Joker with Kane and Jerry Robinson. Gold foil images of batsymbols at bottom corners. This is a hand-numbered limited edition print 27 of 175 produced for a Gold Edition in 1995. Print has also been signed by Sprang in lower right corner and comes w/8.5x11" Gotham Graphics COA. N. Mint. High quality print. Comes with Hake's COA.
