Item Description
21.75x26.75" ornate frame contains art that has been matted to 13x18". Done in mixed media w/mylar title overlay, this piece recreates cover to "Detective Comics" #100 comic published by DC Comics Jun., 1945. Art was done c. 1985-1989 by beloved Golden Age Batman artist Dick Sprang and is ©1985 DC Comics. Art shows Batman saving Robin from attacking lumberjack-type thug, all while canoe they are fighting in is about to go over the edge of a waterfall. Also accompanied by typed letter from Sprang (with a few ink corrections) that details piece's history, w/Sprang giving preservation tips. Sprang has signed both this letter and art in black marker. N. Mint. Classic Golden Age Batman art. Comes with Hake's COA.
