Item Description
15.25x17.75" frame contains original pen and ink and watercolor art that has been professional double-matted to 8x10". Specialty art of and done for Burrill Rowe, noted Barks collector and enthusiast. Barks has signed his name and dated "1977" in lower right. Art depicts a diminutive Rowe in knight costume/armor, wearing cowboy boots and holding lance. Shield w/cigar-smoking bull leans against signpost which reads "Camelot." Shadowed outline of large horse w/same bull head inside large star design as seen on Rowe's chest atop its head. The "Camelot" motif refers to Rowe's Texas comic book store which is also represented by the "Lone Star" motif of Rowe's armor/costume. Exc. as framed.
