Lot of 5 pieces, 1950s. There are 3 cut box panels from a counter top display box of "Special Delivery Shmoo" candy by The W & F Mfg. Co. One is 5.5x8.5" diecut lid while the other 2 are different side panels, each about 2.5x8.5". Panels note price of 5¢ and quantity of 24. Lid reads "Special Delivery Shmoo," all 3 feature images of Mailman Shmoo and female Shmoo identified as "Sweet Shmoo." Next item is 7x7" flattened candy box by Del Monico Foods & Candies Corp. Great graphics on all panels. Text notes "Your Shmoo Fortune In Every Package." This refers to cards which were packaged 1 per box. Included is a 3x10" card strip that has not been separated at perforations and contains 5 different cards. These are "Lefty O'Shmool, William Shmootell, Tumbling TumbleShmoos, Calling Dr. Shmoo, Shmoosic in The Air." Cards were issued w/fortunes on backs although this strip has blank backs. All items in this lot have trace of glue staining to blank backs as all were once mounted file copies. Front of card strip remains totally clean, corners are sharp. Near Mint. Four other pieces have scattered lt. wear, 2 box panels have small trace of glue staining on fronts but overall all remain clean. VF/Exc.
