Item Description
26x33.25” frame contains sign that has been professionally matted to 19.75x26.5”. Poster features Bob Wallace who did “Character Impersonations” dressed up as “The Children’s Delight - Pop Eye The Sailor.” Header of poster reads “Believe It Or Not” and shows Wallace dressed as Popeye with bulging forearms, squinty eye and pipe. c. 1930s. Poster has been folded once vertically and once horizontally with some pinch creases and professional restoration along original fold lines. 2” tear at lower left but does not detract greatly from overall appearance which remains VF. Attractive poster, framed and ready for display.
