7.5x8x12” tall nicely painted and glazed china by American Bisque. c. 1950s. Great design with raised images on the front of a pair of portholes, door with ramp and nosecone lid with moon and stars. Also on the body of the ship are 3 raised fins. On front above the door are words “Cookies Out Of This World.” Bottom interior surface has typical crazing which has moderate brown staining. The outside exhibits very little in the way of crazing, just a small bit on the front bottom edge with tiny trace of aging visible when viewed closely. Front rim edge of lid has tiny nick. Appearance is still Exc. Classic 1950s cookie jar.
