Item Description
3x5.5x6.25” box contains 3x5.5x6” mechanical bank by E.J. Kahn & Co. of Chicago, IL. ©T.L.R., Inc. c. late 1940s. Box has illustration of bank working showing Lone Ranger with lasso throwing penny into Silver’s back. Directions are printed on side in a 3-step process. Box shows heavy wear with tears and is incomplete missing top flap. Fair. Bank consists of base with raised “The Lone Ranger” text spelled out with rope design. Also raised cactus image and ©T.L.R. Inc. marking on base. 3.5” tall figural image of Lone Ranger holding round lasso which has coin slot on top and wire behind his rear boot. Silver is rearing up with coin slot on his saddle. When coin is placed in lasso and wire lever is pushed down, coin flies into Silver’s back. Complete with original coin trap. Working and Exc. Rare and one of the few boxed examples we’ve offered in our 42 years.
