Item numbers 500 through 1103 in auction 198
Item Description
5x7x20.5" tall to the tips of his ears. c. 1931. English. Doll has stuffed velveteen body w/felt ears, glass eyes and nose, round "cotton tail." Printed facial features include Deans trademark toothy grin. Head is movable. Small lettering on one side of head reads "Oswald The Lucky Rabbit" while opposite side includes registration number. Underside of each foot has very ft. company mark and "Oswald" name although none of this is very distinct. The inside front edge of left shoe has 1.5" line of re-sewing to fabric split. Each foot has additional .5" fabric split where wire insert has poked through. One armpit has a .25" fabric split. Seam on back of body has 1" strip neatly resewn. None of these defects in any way detract from the overall appearance. Body has just the slightest trace of color fade, white face has lt. even age toning but doll remains quite bright and clean. Still displays VF. Listed in The Official Price Guide to Disney Collectibles by Ted Hake w/value in Fine of $3200, Near Mint $5500. This is the actual example shown in that book and comes w/COA.
