Item Description
This 1.25" dark blue and cream button is from a small series depicting cowboys issued by Freihofer bakeries in the Reading, PA area. Roy was also issued in b/w and there are several other cowboys in the series all examples being rare. This example is one of just two or three we've seen with original backpaper reading "Freihofer's/The Perfect Loaf/Copyright 1942/Jay-Gee/Enerprise/Reading, Pa." Backpaper lightly tanned. Button is otherwise essentially Mint. Sales of this version have exceeded $800.
