9.25x11.5” spiral-bound with stiff cardboard covers with front cover color illustration of Roy on Trigger in front of “Roy Rogers Double R Bar Ranch” gate. 98 pages. Catalogue begins with stiff sheet offering extensive “Merchandising Display Kit” free to any dealer ordering merchandise from “At The Least Five Roy Rogers Licensees.” Order card is intact and unused. Catalogue has 6 tabbed section divider pages titled “Merchandising, Advertising, Displaying, Roy Rogers, Toys & Novelties, Dale Evans.” Nearly every interior page has photos of Roy and/or Dale either on store promotional display items or actual merchandise. Promotional items available to store owners include life-size replica of Roy’s $50,000 silver saddle, large photo giveaway premium button, tab, deputy badge and rider’s lucky coin. Also shown is a mechanical “Trigger” 10¢ riding horse, Roy on Trigger mechanical display, Roy life-size standee plus pages of elaborate designs for store interiors devoted to merchandise. Merchandise photos include at least 133 products for Roy and 36 additional products for Dale. Last 3 pages list licensees and licensed products. Pages feature photos of many rarely seen items with 6 pages devoted to guns, holsters and spurs by Schmidt and Classy. Vast assortment of apparel from denim outfits to sneakers and boots plus cameras, binoculars, lasso, bank, puzzles, knife, Trigger Buck-A-Way Bronco, hand puppet, sterling ring, lamps, tents, Marx sets, watches, alarm, yo-yo, saddle, bedroom furniture and more. Cover shows wear with pinch creases to spine and some surface paper scratches. Lightly aged and Fine-. Interior pages are Exc., tabbed pages show some wear as is usual with overlapping material of this nature. We’ve offered multiple Disney merchandise manuals and one for Hopalong Cassidy but this is the only one we have seen of this early Roy Rogers catalogue. Limited distribution. Rare.
