Item Description
15x20-3/8” thin artboard has India ink art done in 6 panels. Art by Kurt Schaffenberger for page 15 of the May, 1963 DC comic. Art is for part of “The Super-Suitor Of Soomar!” storyline in which Lois is taken to alien planet where she substitutes for alien reporter who suffers the opposite of Lois’s problem. She is pursued by that planet's hero, Super-Male whereas Lois pursues Superman on Earth. Great sci-fi spaceship content with Lois appearing in all but last panel, last panel showing Super-Male discarding his secret identity disguise. 1.25x13.25” “Superman - DC - National Comics” paste-over with “Lois Lane” title at top. Second to last panel has 1/8x.5” piece cut out for text edit. Right margins have various coloring notations. Margins have scattered aging/dust soiling but if matted and framed, art would display Exc.
