Item Description
4.75x6.75” bw photo card from “Olympia 1936” German tobacco premium album. Photo shows Riefenstahl shot of Hitler arriving at the Olympic stadium through the South Gate. Riefenstahl was Hitler’s favorite film producer and director. Her interesting life included successes of documentary films prior to World War II including one about the Reich Party Congress 1934 in Nuremburg which got the highest awards, a gold medal in Venice in 1935 and the gold medal at the world exhibition in Paris in 1937. She has signed in black felt tip pen along lower right margin. Card has some handling wear with a tiny chip out of upper right corner and faint crease at upper left. Reverse with German text has scattered age spotting which does not display when viewed from front. VF. Comes with Hake’s COA.
