Item Description
22x30” heavy artboard has watercolor art for a proposed half-sheet poster for the 1945 film starring Joan Woodbury. Center of design is dominated by large Brenda Starr image holding a machine gun. Other images show goons attacking “City Editor” and Brenda Starr being tied up by 2 men as an evil swami looks on. Another scene shows drive-by shooting of police officer. Large blank area at left for film and star information. Bold title banner has additional pencil notation noting “Solid Yellow/Red Only.” Additional pencil notations along margins. 1.5” tear along lower right margin. Heavy margin wear with corner rounding but if framed would display VF.
