Item Description
Impressive 11x14” hardcover book with cloth binding. Printed by United Artists to promote films for the 1930-1931 season. Book highlights stars and films and has a very Art Deco design with beautiful silver metallic highlights. Some of the stars mentioned include: Gloria Swanson, Ronald Coleman, Eddie Cantor, Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks Sr. and Charlie Chaplin. Chaplin page is extremely attractive with nice large image of Chaplin in his famous Little Tramp role with next page advertising Chaplin film “City Lights.” Additional films advertised include: Eddie Cantor film “Whoopie,” D. W. Griffith’s “Abraham Lincoln” biopic starring Walter Huston, Mary Pickford film “Forever Yours,” two-page spread on Howard Hughes’ film “Hell’s Angels” with great bi-plane bw photos and illustrations. Cover is detached and shows cover rubs, VG/Fine. Contents have lt. handling wear/aging with oxidation at staples. Fine-. Limited distribution. Additional photos online.
