Fabric and oilcloth sailor cap with “Popeye” name on brim. Underside of foot has “Popeye” tag with 1929 King Features Syndicate copyright and Dean’s Rag Book Co. Ld. company name. Though marked with 1929 copyright, doll was produced in the 1930s by famous English company that also produced Mickey and Minnie Mouse dolls.(See #1721).
