Item Description
9-7/8x10” with 52 bw pages published by M.S. Publishing Co. 1924. Features all original material by Milt Gross (no reprints). Book features comic strips in daily panel format plus specialty title page art showing a policeman accepting $10 bribe from motorist who is winking at viewer as cat goes by on scooter in bkg. saying “Banana Oil!” Another strip includes black stereotype character in court for stealing chickens. Scattered lt. margin wear to cover, most noticeable at corners. Front cover is loose at staples though still attached via cloth bound spine. Fine. Pages are lightly aged with corner tip wear and fine. Scarce. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
