Item Description
Lot of five. 4.5x7” photos on 8x10” printed mats. Each mat has image at top reading “Bathing Beach And Clay Head” surrounded by seashore-themed artwork. Below each photo on mat reads “Souvenir/From Block Island Photo Co./Block Island R.I./W.H. Woodhead, Manager.” Block Island is located 13 miles south of the coast of Rhode Island and 14 miles east of Long Island. Photos c. 1900. Great high quality family souvenirs. Wonderful images of period clothing/bathing suits. Mats have some minor corner/edge wear. Fine. Images have Lt. aging. VF overall. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with COA.
