Item Description
7/8" button with photo of 1955 TV show host of long-running program from Sioux Falls over KELO-TV, Channel 11. Button includes station call letters but printed as "KEL-O-LAND TV." Along the reverse collet, cello has pair of .25" cello splits with one making the very slightest bump on the left side when the button is viewed from the front. This shows very little and rest of button is totally clean with high gloss. Program was seen all over the Upper Midwest and continued until December, 1996, a 41-year run making it the longest running childrens program show in the area. Captain 11 was portrayed by Dave Dedrick who was formerly the station announcer and weatherman until he became host of this regionally famous show. Unlisted in the Hake guide an only example we've seen. Rare.
