Item Description
Sizes run from 9/16” to 1.25”. The first browntone button is from early in his career (probably 1918 governor race) and reads “Democratic Candidate A.E. Smith.” Has tiny cello bump as made on edge at 2 o’clock. Next is button for one of his 1920s governor campaigns. Third is blue enamel donkey pin from 1928. Last in row 1 is classic 1928 portrait pin. In row 2, the first and last pieces are lapel studs with threaded post backs. One shows his famous brown derby and the other reads “Al Smith For President.” The 2 portrait buttons at the center of row 2 are lithos. In row 3 the first 2 portrait buttons are celluloids and the following name button is a celluloid followed by the same design as a litho. A very clean group Exc. to N. Mint.
