Auction #199 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 972 in auction 199
Item Description
This scarce and popular Arizona-issued 2-1/8” button reads “Goldwater/La Tei Ya-Ni.” Button has 2 faint dots of slightly darker color against the white bkg. below the letter “A” of his name and similar barely visible dot following the letter “E” of his name. These are not moisture stain marks, but just exceedingly tiny flaws beneath the celluloid. 99% plus of the button remains bright and clean. While this example is a little bit off-center, it is less so than the couple of others we have seen. Rare and unlisted in Hake. Second button is a 2.25” litho with notation on metal back “1969 For Senator.” Button has extremely tiny rubs around extreme right and lower edges but overall still extremely clean for a litho. Both of these buttons are from the Green Duck Button Co. archive and come with Hake’s COA.
