Item Description
1.25” real photo without dot pattern features slogan certainly implying support for women’s suffrage. Pictured is B.P. Birdsall an Iowa lawyer and judge who was elected as a Republican in 1902 after the incumbent Speaker of the United States House of Representatives David B. Henderson chose not to run for re-election. Reverse has vertical pin over metal-covered back featuring imprint of St. Louis Button Co. Upper right has 5/8” narrow split where the celluloid meets the metal but celluloid still lays extremely flat and from the front just a pinpoint bump appears on the upper rim edge. Great gloss and no stain. Rare.
