Item Description
Lot of two pin-up themed punchboards made in the late 1940s. First is 5.5x9.25" and features 320 punchout circles, two which are punched. Bkg. image is of classic Elvgren art "Skirt-Ing Trouble" which features woman w/umbrella and German shepherd hiking up shirt. Board has name "Mary Ann" printed at top of umbrella. Each chance was 25¢ and player could receive $5 or $2.50. Back of board has label "Easy Pickin'" which has some surface lifting at right side. Taped edges of board have moderate wear and front of board has some moderate dust soiling. About Fine. Second is 3.5x8.5" w/190 unpunched circles. This board is designed to resemble a book and when "cover" is opened, the classic image "Lucky Dog" in which a woman in a dancer's costume is joined on stage by a tuxedo-wearing dog. Woman is visible through punch holes as are dog's paws. Woman's feet and upper torso extend from top and bottom of punchboard "book." Cover of book features text "26 Girl." Each play was 25¢ and players could win $5, $4, $3, $2, $1. Back has original distributor sticker stating information such as "Color, Serial Number, Operator, Size." Binding of "book" has split in a 2.25" section in the upper front corner which has had a tape repair to interior. Taped edge on right upper corner has some chipping and image of girl's head has some surface paper lifting and chips. Image of girl is not affected badly. Some minor wear and dust soiling.
