Item Description
Well made of various fabrics stuffed doll with plastic eyes by Merrythought of England. 1930s. Makers tag under foot. Nicely detailed with matching cotton fabric striped pants and bow tie. Four plastic buttons on shirt. Nicely tailored velveteen jacket. Chest area is also done in veveteen. Felt smile on face. Doll has some scattered aging/fading and a 1” tear with repair at crotch. Some lt. wear to feet. Fine+. The largest and most impressive Golliwog doll we’ve seen. Rare. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
