Item Description
7” long. 1950s. Painted tin cycle with upper body of rider (no head present) molded and painted clay. Plastic windshield (with center crack). Designed with left leg moveable and can be swung out to position. An early version of what would become cycle with rider who gets on and off in fluent motion. This rider is stationary as made. Right arm is loose but could be easily resoldered. All over paint wear more so on left side than right. Left side has about 60% paint, right side about 80%. Clay body has wear and missing pieces but remains about 70% complete. Toy can be wound and does operate. While wear is evident and sold “as is” Arnold prototypes are rarely seen.
