1.25” real photo without dot pattern and without backpaper as it was issued featuring crisp photo of aviator who led a fleet of Italian aircraft to the Chicago World’s Fair. Crisp image of him in helmet and goggles with cigarette jutting from closed mouth. Below is his name and Fair inscription plus text for sponsor “M&C” Italian restaurant. Tiny slightly lighter mark on left rim at center is in the printing and piece is essentially Mint as made. From the Richard Merkin Collection. Comes with Hake’s COA.
