Item Description
Very nicely designed cast iron bank is 5x6x10.5" tall. Underside is marked "1776-1976 A Needle Fights For Freedom/Betsy Ross Bicentennial Bank Limited Edition Of 500" along w/individual issue number of "114." Underside also has facsimile signature of Al Davidson. Great image of Betsy holding a flag and seated next to her sewing basket. On the back at bottom edge of her dress is a black cat. A lever on the back is pressed causing her to swing the flag toward the sewing basket. Comes w/5x7.25" stiff paper promotional folder. Inside includes separate tipped-in card w/illustration of the bank along w/text noting its limited production and issue price of $200. Text mentions an "Enclosed Order Form" although this is no longer here nor is the certificate of authenticity. Bank remains Mint as issued. Great design.
