Item Description
1.25” has W&H backpaper used only 1900-1912. Button is just a hair flattened and has slight touch of tone beneath the word “Park” and even less obvious tone on extreme edge at 9 o’clock. Still displays VF. While Luna Park, Coney Island, was the most famous park with that name, there were others. We’re not sure if this Pennsylvania bicycling group, symbolized by the state “Keystone” symbol went to Coney Island’s Luna Park or perhaps they were going to another of the same name located in Pittsburgh, PA. In 1905, the date on this button, “Luna” parks were opened in both Pittsburgh and Cleveland. A rare amusement park button and the only example we’ve seen.
