Auction #199 - Part II
Item numbers 973 through 2378 in auction 199
Item Description
1.25” button as issued with no backpaper and no maker’s name. Her very earliest fan club button with the same photo is a real photo without dot pattern from the 1950s. This is a second or later printing and very likely dates from the late 50s or early 60s. This move was likely made to reduce the manufacturing costs of the buttons as the screened photo version is less costly than a real photo version. This example is essentially Mint and comes from the Richard Merkin Collection. Comes with Hake’s COA.
