Item Description
4x10x4" tall tin litho toy comes in box w/nicely illustrated lid. 1950s. The plain box bottom has lt. bend at one corner, lid remains bright and Exc. The nicely designed speed boat has crank action windup mechanism. Driver is depicted wearing helmet and goggles, seated behind clear plastic windshield. Boat is marked "Harbor Department/Pilot B-168." Back has raised and exposed "Gasoline" motors. Rudder can be moved manually. Toy works and the crank causes the propeller to spin and also produces a siren sound although crank slips a bit when turned. The thin metal brace that holds the rudder has some tiny paint flakes but overall toy remains bright and glossy, N. Mint as issued.
