Item Description
4x10.5x9.5” tall overall. Pictured in August 1946 “Playthings” magazine. Made by Noma Electric Corp.-famous for their Christmas lights including 1930s Disney sets as well as "Bubble Lights". Their endeavor into toys was apparently short-lived. Mammy figure and most of carriage are composition. Carriage has metal undercarriage, wheels and handle. 4” tall black bisque baby has movable arms/legs and lifelike hair. Diaper, blanket and all of Mammy’s clothes are woven fabric. Carriage bonnet is hinged for easy access to baby. Original 24” long pull string remains attached. Mammy’s hinged legs with slightly curved shoes works well as she moves side to side as a ramp walker. Fabric shows dust soil/lt. age. Carriage remains bright blue with scattered chips. Metal wheels/frame show wear from usage. Paint flaking on carriage bonnet but seems stabilized. Overall VG to Fine. A great design and look.
