Item Description
First is 8x9” overall with 4.5x6.5” image area. Beautiful costumes. White man seen at right wrapped in Indian blanket. Blue dots on back of mat. Does not affect front of mat or clarity of the image. Displays Exc. Second is 7x9” overall with 4.75x6.75” image area. Great early 1900s Native American Lacrosse team. All are posed with Lacrosse sticks and identified in pen along bottom margin. Back-stamped with Wewoka, I.T.(Indian Territory) which is now part of Oklahoma. Also dated 1905. Crease of mounting board has broken emulsion but not greatly noticeable against dark bkg. of photo. VG. Image area clean and crisp. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
