Photos show FDR at Camp Feohner and Big Meadow Camp in Virginia. Both releases mention FDR drive through the Shenandoah Valley to inspect Civilian Conservation Corps camps. Fifth photo is dated 8/31/33 with “Associated Press Photo” credit stamped on back. Press release is missing, but photo shows FDR onboard ship waving to crowd. Lifeboat suspended above him reads “Nourmahal.” Last is “Associated Press Photo” dated Sep. 13, 1935. Inked inscription on back reads “Capitol Walk Pictures/110 West 42nd St./N.Y.C.” FDR is seen seated outdoors surrounded by well-dressed men, women and children. Scattered trace of handling wear on photos visible only in reflected light. A nice, interesting group.
