Item Description
13x19” overall. 10.5x16.5” image area. Gore was first elected to the 76th congress in 1938, re-elected to the two succeeding congresses and served from Jan. 3, 1939 until his resignation on Dec. 4, 1944 to enter the US Army. Gore was re-elected to the 79th and to the three succeeding congresses. This primary bid is from Aug. 3, 1944. Top and bottom have a few crease lines. Corner chipping. 2x4” tan moisture stain around word “Congress.” Still quite presentable. VG and Rare.
